The Thermo Mega Star 4.0R Centrifuge is a powerful and reliable refrigerated benchtop centrifuge, suitable for a range of applications in pharmacy, biotech, and research. This centrifuge is a high capacity device with a brushless induction motor, microprocessor control, and an ergonomic form that works perfectly on a benchtop. The Mega Star features the Auto-Lock III rotor system, allowing users to swap out rotors quickly and easily without the need for any tools. These centrifuges come standard with SMARTSpin technology which allows for smooth runs, optimal acceleration/braking, and imbalance detection for safety.

This refrigerated benchtop centrifuge has a pre-cooling function, allowing you to quickly get the temperature down to your desired level before starting your run. The temperature ranges from -10C to +40°C. The maximum speed of this benchtop centrifuge is 4,000 rpm, depending on the rotor installed. This versatile centrifuge is compatible with most rotors and comes equipped with the Thermo M-20 Microplate rotor.  A wide variety of alternative rotors are available from the manufacturer.  The brightly lit LCD display and intuitive controls allow you to set your desired speed and temperature, enter up to 6 programs, and set a timer for up to 9 hours and 59 minutes.
