The laboratory oven features a wide swinging door for unobstructed use. Easy to use, the Thermo oven electronic analog control dial sets the temperature and a safety over temperature dial backs up the operation. The lab oven operates from temperatures of 50°C to 210°C. This 4.5 Cubic foot chamber stabilizes the temperature within ±0.3°C by means of mechanical or forced air convection. Mechanical convection is the method which air enters the chamber through the bottom of the Thermo fisher oven, heated over the electric coil and is blown through the opening in the bottom of the chamber.

Air exits through the top of the chamber to continually cycle heat through the chamber and maintain uniformity. However, to note that to reach the temperature limits of the Thermo oven, you may need to block off this port. Mechanical convection provides the most efficient means of repeat operation. When the light above the laboratory oven’s temperature control knob is illuminated, an electric current is being sent to the coils to gradually heat up the interior. It is normal for the lab oven light to cycle on and off during the operation. Above the safety dial is also a light that functions in a similar manner. However, when this Thermo scientific oven light is illuminated the safety is engaged and cuts the power to the electric coils.
