The Shandon Finesse 325 Rotary Microtome gives users basic manual sectioning with the convenience of disposable blades. This Shandon microtome has a thickness range of 0,5 µm and 60 µm and uses a quick-release cassette clamp with an x-y orientation head. The free-running flywheel has an ergonomic design, a brake that can be activated at any position, and a light balance to reduce the risk of repetitive stress injury while operating. This microtome also has an automatic retraction feature between 40-50um that can be disengaged if the user wants. The Shandon Finesse 325 Rotary Microtome has either disposable blades or can be configured to work with standard Microtome knives for a flexible option. To make clean-up easy, this manual microtome also has a deep debris tray that is removable and an organizer tray to keep tools and cassettes neatly organized. The Shandon Finesse 325 Rotary Microtome has an Accu-Feed specimen advance that’s selectable in 1-micron steps from 1 to 30 microns, as well as a Specimen tilt/orientation at ±5 degrees using X-Y micro adjustment.
