The Thermo Sorvall Legend XFR floor centrifuge covers a wide range of general-purpose processing, with the added benefit of temperature control for sensitive samples and energy efficiency. This Sorvall Centrifuge has a maximum capacity of 4 x 1000ml per run and can be used for multiple applications, including cell culture, biotechnology, food safety, bioproduction, blood separation, and many more.  The Refrigerated Centrifuge reaches speeds of up to 15,200 (25314 x g) using a fixed angle rotor, has a temperature range of between -10 to 40°C, and comes with a pre-cooling feature to increase productivity within your lab.

The Thermo Scientific Centrifuge has microprocessor controls in the front of the instrument for easy access.  Controls include speed, temperature, acceleration, deceleration, RCF, timer, and more.  Each of these centrifuges consists of a memory bank with 99 slots intended for multi-user applications to be safely stored within the centrifuge.  Programs can be password protected along with centrifuge for sample security in multi-user or high-security laboratories.

The Thermo Sorvall Legend XFR floor centrifuge is set as a freestanding unit, freeing up valuable bench space while being easy to access. The Thermo Centrifuge is compatible with a wide range of rotors to fit the needs of your protocol. This Sorvall Legend features SMARTspin technology that auto-detects the installed rotor while checking for imbalances and adapting during each run. In addition, this easy-to-use refrigerated centrifuge comes with the new Auto-Lock Rotor push-button system.

This feature locks rotors into place with the push of a button, acting as a safeguard for the user.  Another feature included with the Thermo Sorvall Legend XFR centrifuge is the ClickSeal Bucket Sealing System, eliminating the need to screw BioShield caps into place.  This is ideal for users working on vaccinations, viruses, harmful chemicals, etc.
