The Waters 2424 ELSD Detector provides a controlled method of detection for semi-volatile components, partnered with precise temperature control for increased sensitivity and resolution with low peak dispersion. The compact Waters 2424 takes up little space on your lab bench while still providing a powerful, easy-to-maintain tool, with nanogram level detection limits and sampling rates up to 80 points per second. This Evaporative Light Scattering Detector uses an active nebulizer heating and cooling system to cover a wide range of microbore and analytical flow rates. ELS detection offers users an orthogonal option that increases peak detection, with near-universal detection of nonvolatile and semi-volatile sample components. The Waters 2424 ELSD Detector maintains long-term sensitivity by using a 60° scatter angle that minimizes stray light and optics polarization. Sample rates and filter time constants can be adjusted independently letting users fine-tune the ELS to achieve your separation needs.
